- Larry,
-
- Your comments (on Links and in FrameWorks) on the various involved and complex
- issues about Persistant Objects/Persistant Guerrillas have served to refine and
- focus alot of things, at least for me.
-
- One of the themes that appear in your input I very much agree with (actually
- more than one). And that is that it will be difficult, if not inefficient, to
- provide a framework for object persistance that is _completely_ automatic and
- generic. It seems if we (meaning Guerrilla efforts or whatever) can eliminate
- making persistance fully automatic, we could come up with a framework that
- would require only _simple_ programmer grunt work (coding some “low logic”
- lines). And the framework would be efficient and flexible.
-
- This thought is analogous to the MacApp view architecture in spirit. That is,
- the MacApp view architecture lays down a flexible and intelligent framework for
- us to do our complex drawings and renderings (or in my case not so complex)
- while not getting in the way of other application specific stuff that only the
- designer/programmer can really resolve.
-
- Just a thought, they occur once every Feb 15 about 1:40AM EST :-),
-
